Shana’s Plain Paratha was awarded Superior Taste Award 2009 by the International Taste & Quality Institute (iTQi). iTQi is the leading independent Chef and Sommelier based organisation dedicated to testing and promoting superior tasting food and drink from around the world.

The ITQI jury are comprised of 120 renowned chefs from 12 of the most famous European culinary associations and from the Association de la Sommellerie Internationale (ASI).

Products are blind tested solely on thier own merit (not compared), with the focus on the intensity of gustatory pleasures. Organoleptic criteria are scored (first impression, appearance, aroma, texture, flavour and retro-olfaction) and commented on by each judge.

The Superior Taste Award crowns products having met or exceeded the judges' expectations in terms of taste quality, winning the respect of the food industry.
